Flour tortillas are simple to make, and they taste far superior to anything you could get at the store. We'll make them two ways: first, as I've always made them, with a little bit of baking powder; second, as I've been making them recently, with a sourdough starter. We'll also make a fresh enchilada sauce, which we'll use along with the tortillas to make bean and cheese enchiladas. At some point, we'll fix ourselves a margarita. The recipes are attached in a PDF. I will send you an email the day before class with a prep list if you'd like to cook along. In the recipe packet you will find a recipe for slow-cooker black beans. We will not make these together in class. You can make these several days in advance, if you wish, or you can simply use a can of black beans in their place. Really looking forward to this class!
