If you've never had shawarma, it's a fantastic Middle Eastern dish consisting of meat cut into thin slices, stacked in a cone-like shape, and roasted on a revolving vertical rotisserie or spit. In this class you'll learn to make a (very much bastardized) version of chicken shawarma that pays homage to the smoky, curry-laced flavors of the famed street food, and pile it on warm pita or lavash with lots of crunchy veggies and a tangy, dill-spiked yogurt sauce. I will provide instructions for a salmon option as well! You'll also practice some great knife skills in this class and learn creative ways to use any leftovers (if you're lucky enough to have any).
